the inspiration

this is the picture that inspired my mom to start blogging, and her first post was entitled eye candy.

im 18 hours old!

first time in her arms

18 hours after giving birth, the doctor finally gave my mom a chance to go to the nursery and hold me in her arms.

my 3-hour-old pictures

my mom said i was frowning when i was born, and my smile was very expensive.

and she said my eyebrows are as wrinkled as my face!

my first shower

my first shower was done by my pediatrician, dra. julie salvosa at ago general hospital.

at 3pm, april 28, 2007, my mom was watching tv, holding her tummy, and feeling me inside. then she took a piece of paper and started writing the time and intervals of her contractions. she knew it was time.

at 6pm, she put on her make up and fixed herself. tito mark started teasing her. "why, do you think you are going to give birth now that is why you started to beautify yourself?"

my mom just smiled.

at 10pm, she knocked on my tito mark's door and said "look," pointing at the liquid moving down her thighs. her bag of water just burst. her face showed nothing but an expression saying "i told you so!"

tito mark started screaming. "ruel! dad! ate's gonna give birth!"

lolo, who was drinking with my other grand uncles, became sober in an instant. lolo dick kept saying to my mom, "just relax, don't panic, just relax!" his voice was a little high-pitched, almost shaking.

lolo, on the other hand, was ordering nobody in particular, "go call a tricycle!"

my mom, with the water dripping down and wetting the ground she walks on, stood as proud as ever. "don't forget my mobile and my bag. let's go."

just like that, she and tito mark walked to the hospital.

a few minutes before midnight, i was born.
